I did meet the surgeon today, Dr. Michael Mulligan. He’s quite the surgeon. He is the only lung transplant doctor in the Northwest and is on call 24/7. The downside is that if a transplant comes up, then I will be delayed again. He seems pretty confident that he will be able to remove the abnormality in my lung by doing a VATS procedure, which is much less invasive than the alternative. He stated that if his partner were doing the procedure that I would have an incision 6-10 inches and he would have to spread apart my ribcage and remove a rib to be able to get to the area. I’m very thankful to be able to get in with Dr. Mulligan in short notice. I’ll probably be in the hospital at least one-two nights until they can remove the breathing tube.
RockStars!
Well, most of you thought you would be seeing a picture of me in the hospital recovering from surgery… well, our schedules changed… again … and the surgery is delayed until Friday. So in the mean time, we went to the Experience Music Project and became Rock Stars!

Hey Tim,
Just wanted you to know we are walking this out with you and praying the whole way. All our love, Eddie & Becky.
Praying, praying, praying. So thankful to know God holds the future, even when it doesn’t feel like it.
Wow – you could very well end up being the most patient man on the continent when this is all said and done….
Haha, love the picture!
I’ve never heard of the Experience Music Project but it sounds pretty sweet. Wow, you were not kidding in that post awhile ago when you said the schedule changes a lot! I am SO glad that you get that Dr. and not his partner. That is CRAZY that he’s the only lung transplant doctor in the northwest! Praying for you as always!
Tim – this goes to prove that my college-days fascination with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts was entirely misguided! Great photo, btw!
God is putting the right healers in your midst, and it all comes down to trust and faith … both of which you and your entire support team have!
Love you, keep pumping out the updates, and we’re with you in thoughts and prayers!

I will be praying for you on Friday! That is great that they are not going to have to split you open, and it can be noninvasive.
Wow from CEO of Microsoft to Rock Star all in the same month – how do you ever top that
I just read in Zephaniah 3:17 that the Lord will rejoice over us with singing and then opened up this to see you doing the same – how awesome – He is taking great delight in you!!!
Love and prayers!
so…who is on the guitar??
YOU rock!!
Just remember God is in control, but many many prayers.
love,
auntie m
Hey Tim! You are a rock star! Is that your dad on guitar? It looks like he could rock out a little more.
You are so patient, and these are BIG things you are dealing with. A good lesson for us all. I will be praying for you this week and your surgery tomorrow.
Hey Tim! Thanks for all the updates, it’s really great to keep up with some of what you’re going through and very educational. The pictures have all been great too. Keep up the faith, good spirits, and positive attitude! You know we’re all praying for you here!
Good Morning…. Hard ships that hang on was my daily today…. and I thought of you and family.. then I thought of you asking us to hold your arms up when it got bad…It seems that God is doing that job pretty good for you.. to hold you up…BUT just in case I am still praying he will hold on tight to you…. 2Corinthians 12:8-9.. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. BUT he said to Me(Tim), “My grace is suffcient for you (Tim), for my Power is Made Perfect in Weakness”… You have a wonderful day… walking in the Lord..His arms are stronger then anything…on earth..Sending loads of prayers… and Love…
Well at least you getting some time to see sites!
If you have time go to the Boeing museum on the way into Seattle as it is quite impressive.
You guys acutally look like you know what you are doing up there!!!
You should tell your doctors that they are going to have to pay you if they have another delay just like a contractor!
Keeping you in our prayers!

I am just brought to tears. I am SO thankful that God brought this surgeon. The surgery they had planned for your was the same one they were possibly going to have to do for me before mine got cancelled due to my needle biopsy producing enough cancer cells for a diagnosis. When i read your words about the surgery, I felt like I was sitting in the hospital bed again listening to the surgeon explain what he needed to do. I was so scared. I AM SO THANKFUL God has brought this other surgeon! And then to see you and your parents rocking on the stage- I just love you guys so much. I love to see the smiles on your faces- they radiate God’s love. We are fervently praying for you. love you lots, Sara
Wow!! Look at you all go! That is an Awesome picture. Priceless!!!
I hope you and your Mom & Dad have a great day today.
You have been blessed with some amazing doctors and surgeons- I am so greatful for that. Take care and know that you are always in our prayers. Miss you lots

Sonya
Please tell me that is your Dad on guitar! I see that he isn’t the old codger I thought he was. Let me know if you are stopping in the midwest on your way out for your east coast tour.
Actually, I had the thoracic surgery many years ago and can vouch that I would rather have 3 small incisions than a big scar in your armpit. : > I’m praying for all of you and gently put you in God’s arms.
Aunt Joyce
